hello

ooh, i'm really excited.  so i signed up for a 4-mile race that's in just 2 weeks!  i actually wasn't planning on doing this considering i haven't run in 2+ months.  but somehow phyllis rationalized it to me.  she's very convincing i'd say.  but i'm actually really excited for it now.   my first real timed race since umm, middle school?? i know i'm gonna suck, but i think i'll be able to run the whole thing. 

saturday night, phyllis, derek, and i went to this place called milk and honey.  it's this kinda quirky, exclusive type place.  exclusive in terms of no posting of phone number or address on their website.  although, i just found that info here:  http://nymag.com/listings/bar/milk_and_honey/index.html  but anyway, its a really small place on the lower east side.  there's no sign over the door or anything.  you just hafta know the address and which door bell to ring.  secret detective agent smith, if you will  the inside is kinda old ny-like.  its got a very secretive type feeling.  people don't mingle with each other, and supposedly guys are not allowed to pick up girls.  anyway, if you ever do go, keep in mind, the drinks are pretty pricey ($15 each) and it's cash only.  the 3 of us completely emptied out our wallets, thank goodness we had just enough.

yesterday, derek and i went to see avenue q!  it's so so funny!  these are some of the songs they sing, ready? "if you were gay", "the internet is for porn", and "everyone's a little bit racist".  totally inappropriate for kids of course.  there might even be a lil bit of some muppet lovin, if ya know what i mean.  hahaha, it's actually really funny and so well done.  i would say this is the best one i've seen, closely followed by dirty rotten scoundrels.
